Default Anyone else's AC have a mind of its own?

I never keep mine on auto, but the fan speed always changes on its own.. I dont even do anything to provoke it.. I'll have it at lets say 65 for 10 minutes of driving, at only 1 level of fan, and then all of a sudden it'll jump up to level 5 on the fan..

Anyone else have this happen to them?

thanks

Default Even though it's not on AUTO, the climate control brain knows that.......

you want it at 65 and the fan at I. However, it also knows that it can't possible keep the cabin at 65 with the fan set at I. So, I guess that the climate control is never fully manual and will always have at least some sort of AUTO function.

Default i've noticed this too..

Primarily when I jack the fan speed up to max on my own, it never stays at max and always goes 1 click below whenever I have the temperature set around 67-70. So it really isn't 100% manual, which can be annoying at times.

Default

The car cools off faster 1 or 2 clicks below max fan speed.

Default right.. but there's that mental thing which....

makes my body feel like its getting cooled faster with a higher speed fan. I also like to have high speed fan on me moving air as fast as possible when I get into my car since it's full of stagnant hot heat. At that point I'm not concerned with it being cooled faster, but just circulating hair around my face.

Default It's not all mental...

Same thing as wind chill. When perspiration evaporates faster due to more airflow over the skin, the skin is cooled faster.
