Default Anyone ever got this code?

main catalyst bank one: efficiency below threshold.

I forgot my notes that had the numbers written down on it.

i think it was 16804.

Is it the o2 sensor? Which one?
Should i replace it?

i checked block 032, and did the VAG-scope, i am really new to this. i just check at an idle, and revved it up. do i need to run the vag while i am driving to do it properly?

Default did you melt the wires on one of your sensors?...

some one posted this a few days ago. iirc this code is caused by bad cat or O2 sensor after cat.

Default Its usually a sign that one of the cats is on the way out...

which means the other one isn't far behind.

Default yeah, that was me. There are two cats? how can i figure out which it is?

Buy a new o2 sensor (after-cat), and see if that clears up the problem? or a cat? or can i check it in VAG-COM?

Default Bank one refers to the side you're having an issue with.

Search to find out whether bank 1 is driver's or passenger's side.

Passenger side. or on a 1.8t, the only side.
