Anyone ever hear of installing giac chip in ecu themselves?
My friend ordered his giac chip form giac and they sent him the chip. he has to install it himself. Anyone ever do this?(install the chip in the ecu yourself) supposing it's plug and play. this true?

if it's already socketted...
i can change the chip on my wetterauer chipped ecu by hand to the other versions of the chip i have... well i could until i snapped off one of the pins by accident.
