Anyone familiar with the "clunking" noise coming from the engine bay area when the ignition (key) is

turned to the on position?

This is a 1999 1.8TQMS

Yea, mine does that sometimes. I haven't figured it out.

Does it happen only when you start the car in gear with clutch in? Is compressor on? Try starting in neutral with compressor off & see if it still happens.

My '00 does this too, and I feel a slight vibration in the brake pedal-would love to know what's up
