I live in Plymouth where the cops are REAL **** about everything including tint, loud radios whatever. they find all sorts of excuses, but I haven't had a cop look at me twice for having tinted front windows. I have friend who drive contours, trucks, grand Am's who get pulled over for it. My A4 and my Friends TT nothing yet.

It was about 4 years ago, in my beater CRX. Cop pulled me over for speeding, and gave me an option: speeding ticket, or tinted window ticket. I took the tinted windows ticket ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
My sister, OTOH, has gotten two tickets so far in her Grand Prix, both in MT Pleasant. I'm guessing that's just because of the unpleasant cops there.

It's not like a cop is going to say "I'm giving you a tick...er wait a minute, this is an A4! Your free to go"
Your best bet is if you're going to get pulled over, make sure your windows are down before the officer is out of the car. The reason they are illegal is the officer can't see if you're a threat or not.
