This past weekend I ran into an interesting problem. My bro and I live together and share a 1 car garage. He also owns a an A4 1.8t!!! This past week was my turn to take the outside spot while he gets the garage. The car had been starting up slowly, but I think that was due to the cold weather (20s and 30s in the morning). On Sunday It was my turn for my baby to have the garage. I moved the car from the outside space and into the garage. I moved the car about 20 feet max. I shut the car off and went inside for about 5 hours. I came out and tried starting the car, but it started up for a second and then died. I tried several times to get the car running, but the engine would not get up and running. Finally I just decided to hold the key in the on position. It took about 15 seconds for the engine to finally run. I thought that was very odd to happen. I revved the engine a few times and it seemed to be fine afterwards. Since that incident the car has started up fine. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Is this due to water or just my very short drive of the car from the outside parking spot to the garage?

During initial start up in the morning the car runs rich until the 02 sensors warm up. So if you turn off the car after a few seconds of running theres way to much gas in the engine. The next time you start the car it dumps even more gas on start up which floods the engine.
