Default Anyone wanna explain something to an idiot (me)?

Why is it that an S4, with about 35 more hp, but 300 lbs more weight, and the same amount of torque, is able to get to 60 about 1.5 seconds faster than a Stage II A4? This doesn't make any sense to me. TIA for answering my stupid question

gearing is much better on the S4, for one.

Default I don't like the gearing on my A4 very much.

Under normal driving conditions, just shifting at about 3k or so, 3rd gear comes up short, so it hesitates for just a second before being normal again. I know why this is tho, to boost 0-60 times (the all important number) most companies make 2nd gear top out at about 61mph or so so there's only one shift in there... making the time faster. Actually that may not explain why 3rd gear comes up short, but its a fact anyway.

Default Y'all remember that these times are achieved by serious professional drivers.......

who know how to squeeze every last bit of torque out of a car.

Very few people here (I ain't one of 'em) have the skills to do this.

A Frontrak is a couple tenths faster than a quattro, keep that in mind too.

Default 7 is about right. My K03 drag chip was close to 6.0 and my custom street chip was around 6.4.

But who wants that when you can have a Audi A4 that will hit 4's. Well my PES T28 has already done it in 5.0-5.1 and should hit 4's now.
