Default Anyone have any feedback on running B5 S4 Bilstein shocks and H&R race springs on a 1.8T?

The shocks were custom grooved for adjustability, and adjusting the fronts to two perches below stock would compensate for the ligther engine on the 1.8 vs. 2.7T's.

What do you think the ride will be like? Anyone running this setup???

Thanks guys.

Are the springs for an S4 or A4, because the spring rates, I would assume, would be different

Default adjusting the perches will not compensate properly for the different engine weight...

engineering doesn't work that way bro

Default Makes sense... you're running S4 suspension too though... how do you get away with it?

Keep in mind that I would be using A4 springs, just custom grooved and valved S4 shocks.

Still a no go in your opinion?

Default planning on, im still doing research on whether or not i should do it. ofcourse the front is going

to be stiffer, but coilovers adjust for weight differently than springs and shocks.

im not 100% sure im going for the s4 ones...maybe the a4

but for sure H&R COs. same price.

Default I was looking at the H&R's and Mike from PureMS was telling me that S4 was the way to go...

Especially if you drive aggresively or get out to track/autoX events from time to time.
