for the past 3 days, my changer has been giving me CD ERR2 messages on alot of my cd's.
Not only on burned CD's but on originals as well. Anyone else experience this?

...for months, now. You can hear the player search for the track (like a zip...zip...zip...zip...zip noise) and then.....CD ERR1. I haven't been able to use my in dash player for about 6 months now. Audi is replacing the entire radio under warranty but the player's been on back order for the last 4 months. :-(

I found out from the tech at my dealer that the headunit is crap - there is a new manufacturer coming on-line in a few months to make them instead.

...get one of the new ones. I'm just using the changer in the mean time. Any word on who the new source is.....or, for that matter, who the current source is? Just curious.

...error codes for the CD "changer" according to the manual are:
CD1 ERR1 = CD dirty or improperly installed
CD1 ERR2 = CD has scratches
I would assume the same codes apply for the "in dash" unit.
