Default Anyone have H&R springs in their car?

I want to get them but the install is like 350 so I was wandering if it was worth it. Also is it better to get shocks aswell? People say its a must but i dont want to get the springs first then pay install twice so what do you guys think?

Default H&R? What are those? Don't think anyone has them here. . .

Lots of people have them, they are very popular, sport for less aggressive ride, race for stiffer ride, do springs AND shocks at once or you'll wear our your stock shocks prematurely, STFA. 'Nuff said.

Default Used to.

If you shop around, you can generally find installs a little cheaper than that.

Shocks would be highly suggested.

Feel free to email if you have any questions.
There's lots of information in the archives if you search.

also the install is pretty easy, just get an alignment done afterwards.

Default I just installed the "race" version...

with the adj bilstein's. Love the way it look's, but it's definately stiff. With that said, if I were you, I'd save for the shocks as well, even if you went with the "sport" springs.

The install is straight forward, two guys on a lift w/air tools knocked it out in under 3 hours (taking our time). So I agree with the shop around quote...Seemed to me the average price guys state around here has been in the 250 range.

HTH, Good Luck

Default My personal opinion...

I don't like them very much. Ok for street use..but if you do any kind of performance driving..they, coupled with the bilsteins...are no good. (I have H&R springs/bilstein shocks on my 99 A4 1.8TQM right now)

I miss my H&R coilovers...and will try to get back to that set-up asap.
