i had it on my evo. so it's possible but not recomended
if you leave your car in gear, the car will crank and move forward..
my friend left the evo in 2nd gear one night and i started it in the morning and it wasn't firing.. i finally went outside to see it pushing against my sisters cabrio luckily no damage..

Re: Does it work good? I was looking on fleabay and they have these kits. Where did you buy yours?
I got the viper SST from a dealer by my house, i heard some bad things about the alarms online. I heard that they are missing some parts and wouldnt run properly. I was tempted to get one there cuz they were cheap but i spent the extra money and got it from a dealer

Possible - but be careful ---
Someone left a Volvo at a friend's shop for new tires. It was a manual transmission car with remote start. After the work was done and the car was parked outside (in gear, of course), one of the employees apparently (accidentally) pushed the "start" button on the remote. The car started and ran into a wall. The car owner took them to court for damages and lost - because the instructions for the remote start system specifically say "Do not install on vehicles with manual transmissions".
You can, of course, develop the habit of always parking your car in neutral with the handbrake on but there may be occasions when others also drive it (suggestion: give them the "valet" key).
