Default Anyone have Stasis suspension:::

I am trying to find anyone who has opinions about the stasis suspension package. I am inquiring about the springs and shocks with the highest compression rate ( 700f / 800r ). I am trying to gather as much info as I can, let me know the up's and downs of this suspension setup. I know one down. the damn cost..... take care

Stasis suspension

Default hey bro, you'd like it if you tracked your car, but

for our roads, it gets pretty stiff and isnt very forgiving. for day to day driving its not that great. now if you're going to turn into steve, then that stiff of suspension would probably be nice. sometimes i wish my springs werent as stiff as they are and they're only 450/500!

Default =)

I'm running 600f/700r track sports, the cost is something but the handing is amazing. the rear pearchs don't go down the far so if your looking for the complete slamed look this isn't kit for you. I would have gone a slightly higher spring rate but it depend on where you live and what you want to do with the car, although the ride is really good for such a stiff set up. The instillation is a little more of PITA also, but worth it IMHO.

Default yea, I guess the note that I'm not playing with a full deck should be made.

aka I drive around with stage 4 clutch and a 12lb flywheel in traffic.

Default I disagree...

I feel this suspension is still very comfortable for daily driving given the stiffness. Which is why it is somewhat expensive. The custom shock valveing in the Koni VM shocks is what keeps the ride comfortable and is specifically designed to match the springs. It is when you don't have a good match of spring rate to shock valving that you get a harsh ride.

Default what suspension do you run on your A4? 450-500 or 700-800?

what kind of roads do you drive on? we drive on chicago roads which absolutely blow. on smooth roads/country roads, i love it!

Default email Ryan@Stasis, he'll answer all your questions and suggest the best setup for your car.

if you ask me, 700/800 will NOT be what he'll suggest. (I'm just using myself as a reference - 700/900)

regards,
Liam
