the two parts are pretty much *identical*

The software will run fine as long as all vac. lines are hooked up like they were previously.

Ive never heard of anyone using an 03

but I dont see why it wouldnt work. Again the parts are very similar...you can read about all the revisional changes if you search the archives...they involve better oil and coolant passages. Some people claim that the compressor wheel was changed...but this claim has not been substantiated.
