I have been using one for about a year and it is a real time saver and has not harmed the finish one bit. Just make sure it is clean every time you use it. I would recommend it.

Default it works great.. doesnt scratch paint.. unless you do something to the blade itself...

like wipe off dirt with it... but other than that its surgical rubber.

Default once. it does a great job at the big areas (e.g. hood, roof, doors & trunk), but you'll need an

Absorber ($10 at Pepboy's type places) for the tight areas. You really need to keep it clean, especially the little line between the blade and the handle part of the blade as that's where dirt tends to find itself. once in there, if not cleaned out, you'll scratch your paint.

i gave it to my dad.

Default Works fine for me.

Although it's not like you're gonna see hairline scratches on my kind of paint...but it has yet to cause harm.

Default Yeah, it's good

Just soak it in water for a little while before using it. That way you can be sure there's no dirt on it. You'll still have to finish up drying the car with a cloth to get into the tight spots though.
