Default Anyone know how to remove cubby hole from trunk?

I have a 2001 A4 sedan. I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the little pocket on the right side of the trunk? I know you can lift the pocket out, but I was wondering about the bracket that it attaches to. Can it be removed?

#10 is the pocket
#11 is the bracket that I am trying to remove

Thanks!

Default Is part of trunk liner, or hole through liner to body? I think part of the liner. Try pulling the

liner back (start from part closest to rear seats (which seats folded down)) and see if it has bolts or anything on other side.

Also, why are you trying to remove it?

He is talking about #11, the clip the little box thing clips into.

Default I've pulled out the liner before

When I was doing my stereo install. Just don't remember if it was attached with a screw or something. I bought a custom fiberglass enclosure from someone who had it mounted where the pocket is. But it looks like I have to remove the clip for it to sit properly.

Default Oh, well then don't be lazy, yank out liner. Or at least grab clip and see if attached to liner or

frame of car. I really think its attached to the liner. If you remove liner you could unscrew it or cut it out.

Default The container that sits in side area? or the clip which holds the container in? He's asking about

the actual clip which is attached to the liner.
