Default it pops out.....use a flat plastic spackling tool to get it out....or a wooden paint mixing stick

works too. Just pry around the mirror being careful not to break anything. It really takes more force to remove it than you would originally think.

Default you're talking about the sideview mirror, right?

If you're replacing it, the new part should have a round bracket attached to the back of it. This is what locks it into place. If it doesn't have this, then maybe the bracket from the old one needs to be transfered over to it.

Replacement mirror should snap right back on. Round hole w/ 4 tabs around it.

Default BE CAREFUL!....

not to freak you out, but i busted one taking it off, yes use wood or plastic but another good tip is to adjust the mirror so the outer edge is sticking as far out as it can, it will give you more space between the glass and mirror housing, and then you can pry it off easier. Try this with the top and bottom edges too, adjusting the mirror each time with the switch. You should hear it 'pop' each time it separates form the bracket inside the housing.

good luck
