if info on such dealers isn't posted publicly since AoA reads these forums possibly.

I usually tell the service desk I have a chip when I leave my car at Bernardsville for scheduled maintenance. They don't seem to care. Once when I picked it up, they guy who test drove it to look at a braking issue asked me afterwards "You got a chip in that?" with a smile? I replied 'yes' and smiled back. My salesman (forget the name now) even pointed out when I picked up my 1.8T that I could increase the power with a TAP chip sold by a distributor in Allentown, PA. I told him "uh, you see... I've already got one" (say with silly French accent for full effect there).
But in the past year Audi of Bernardsville's website has gone down (several months now? www.audiofbernardsville.com), they have a new service manager, and I noticed new faces and missed some old faces in the service department in general. Maybe some moved over to their new Mendham dealership, but I know that some left to go to Newton Audi up north a bit. What does this all mean for Bernardsville? I dunno. They still treat me right so I'll keep going there for service. But things may be in flux... so everything I said above about chip-friendliness may or may not still be accurate.
