If you're a real ricer, you can paint the trim you have, then it won't even look like wood! Red, yellow, and electric blue are always good choices, and remember, type-R stickers add five horsepower.

You mentioned you have wood trim, so that probably means you have a 2.8L car. The smaller 1.8T engined cars had different trim, so anything out of those would be a direct fit (dependent on the changes in the interior from year to year [i.e. the trim in a 1996 won't fit a 2001], but you didn't mention what year you have, so I can't direct you as to exactly what will and will not fit.
Also, if you are loking to spend some money (alot) you can purchase direct replacement trim from an RS4. These cars (which were Europe-only) came with either carbon-fiber or piano-black (a high-gloss black that actually looks stunning).
There are many aftermarket manufacturers of trim piece kits who could sell you somehing you would like, but the fit will not be as good as the OEM pieces from other A4's. This is because they usually only stick on to the existing trim or dashboard with glue or tape; making it look like it bulges too far out. You also will need to be careful with these as some of the ashesives could cause you an electronics nightmare if you accidentally got it into your radio or HVAC unit. These are sole in all sorts of colors and finishes with other wood-grains, metals, real and simulated carbon-fiber and colors.
This has been posted before too, so if you would like, you can use the search function of AudiWorld (in the top left hand corner of your page) to find out what other people have done.

the majority of the noobs coming on here will not have purchased their car new, so they will not have seen a brochure, therefore will not know the variations on the interior...MUCH LIKE YOU.
There were actually MANY versions of 1.8T interior trim, and then you forgot about the S4's silver trim option.

If you feel like being an *** don't post. There are plenty of people here that know a lot more than you do who are willing to help.
Nice attitude for someone with only 1000 post...
