Anyone know what voltage the preouts off the Symphony deck with the blaupunkt adapter?

Default my guess... 2 volt or something low... just a guess though
i can't see any reason it would be a high voltage output

Default Bah, use a program like cool edit pro...generate a sine at 1kHz 0dBFS and burn that to a CD
grab a multimeter...pop that bad boy in there...play the disk an measure the voltage. BAM you're done...you know the max output level from the pre-amp outs.

I don't know what the hell a Blaupunkt adapter is since you don't need an adapter to drive an external power amp since the pre-amp level outs are on the connector back there...usually adapters are from going from speaker level to pre-amp level...I dunno what he's talking about.

Default my understanding is, There is only a harness on the back of the stereo
and you plug in a blaupunk adapter into it to get the RCA outs.. I have the link. lemme find it

Default Well if that's right it's a fully passive adapter...just a connector and some female RCA jacks
and my test would still apply :-)
