anyone know what would cause the code: P1640

not going to get into the long long story... but I'm getting this code after my t28 install...ecu has gotten a couple different chips and a couple different sockets...any thoughts? cleared another code and no CEL last night after a bit of driving... but that code still persists..then i had a CEL this morning.. not sure if that code is causing it or if the other came back...

Your ecu might be bad.

I would say bad solder or when they did the install of the chip

on of the pads pulled up and is not making full contact now.

agreed, most likly on one of the legs of the chip

I've done it wrong myself.
