Since I remover the plastic spacer in the shifting boot. The boot is kind of loose. What did you do you make it look better.
Also, I found the new shifter is shorter than the stock with the momo shift ****. Do you feel the same?
Thanks

Hi,
I just trimmed off 3/4" the plastic sleeve inside the boot. I then sanded off about 1/4" off the top of the upper plastic piece with the thereads. I optesd not to install the MOMO bottom trim piece. It is lower and I like the look of the Elegant wood **** now discontinued. This is on a 2.7T the **** wood is a little datker that the interior but that is ok the polished alm sets things off nicely.

I could leave the plastic sleeve off completely (and push the shift **** all the way down). The shift much shorter this way but it takes more effort to shift. I put the plastic sleeve in and raise the shift **** a bit. It felt really good now. Nice upgrade.

What I did was turn the plastic spacer upside down, so the part that was inside the boot is now outside and vice versa. It fits really well this way, with the bottom of the momo **** snugging right into the spacer, but there's a black plastic ring showing (which I'm not sure I like.) I think it would also work pretty well with the spacer upside down and completely inside the shift boot. I have the **** as far down as it will go, and yes, this is lower than with the stock ****; maybe half an inch?
Hope this helps!<p>
