Default Anyone in Providence area.....Scrub-a-Dub on rte 2 in Warwick is a fantastic automatic carwash......

ultra soft, very wide tracks (no wheel damage), amazing results for a carwash. Couldn't believe it....my car looked hand washed and waxed when It came out. A little touch-up with a polishing cloth and it looked incredible. And I've been there a dozen times with the same results. Not sure about other Scrub-a-Dubs (they're a chain), but this one rules.

Get "the works"....$14.50 but totally worth it.

Actually makes it hard to justify doing it yourself.

Default what's your time worth to you? =).....I agree that some carwashes suck and are bad for your car.....

but if you can find a good one, it's a much more efficient way to keep your baby lookin' nice.

PLUS they wash the underside of the car

Default But there are other factors...

One, do they do a good job? Quality can vary greatly. I use a Delta Sonic in Westmont which is pretty nice. However, that is with winter wheels on the car, id never take my 18's through it.

Two, for some people washing/waxing is a enjoyable thing, i know it is for me. Sure time is money, but i like spending a Saturday morning/early afternoon fussing over one of my cars.

I admit that since i don't own a garage with a water tap i use car washes in winter to keep the salt off the car. Once i buy a house though, ill be sure to wash year round myself.
