Default Anyone regret getting Ferodo DS2500 brake pads?

I'm about to place the order for new pads/rotors and just want to be sure I'm doing the right thing. I know they're noisier than Pagid Blues but want to ensure they're not as noisy as Hawk HP+. They will be used on the street and track.

Default no regrets...

Ferodo and SBS are one of the best pads I have used. Hawk is good, but you are right. HP+ is noisier. The only thing about Ferodo is the dust. But something has to give to make the car stop. You can always wash the wheels.

Default I know lots of folks that use them for both track/street

I am putting them on my Stoptechs (front) and stock (rears) soon.

Default No regrets. I love them. I use them all year round.

They are aggressive (i.e. I use them for the track) but also work great on the street and in cold weather.

I've also used HP+ and they are nowhere near as noisy as the Hawks.

I now use them with my Brembos and the braking was amazing with little fade at the track.

Default How bout in cold and very snowy weather? I am looking into these now.

I just wonder how well they will do for both DD and track with my living in a region that gets so much damn snow. How do they hold up in the wet?

I thought about that myself. For me, the limiting factor then becomes my winter tires, not brakes.

Default Good point, I actually brake less in winter and try and modulate and control driving by throtle.

I find I am also not driving at the speeds summer allows and I tend to be one of those people who keeps 5-6 car lengths of distance whan possible summer or winter. More or less keeping the rev's down and simply being aware and almost never catching a red light etc...

Default No issues in the snow/wet. You do need to heat them up a bit...

but nothing like track only pads. I've driven them up in New England winters during snow storms and torrential downpours in NJ. No issues. If anything, it's my tires as Pat said that becomes the limiting factor. It does help that I am using Brembos too. ;-)
