Default Anyone religiously use fuel injector cleaners?

My MPG has slowly getting worse and worse, so I thought I'd toss another can of fuel injector cleaner into my car. Last time I did it was a year or so ago, thought maybe it could clear up any gunk or contaminates that built up over time.

Wanted to see if anyone recommends using them more on an interval level? Like every 2000 miles or something? Thanks.

Default 2000 miles is like, two weeks for me right now...

From my limited understanding, it's probably best not to OVERUSE detergents...for instance, with seafoam, I am going to stay away from using it more often than once every 50k, at the most.

Default I have sometimes, usually Techron or BG products ,but the MPG problem might be this

I've had a like problem and it turned out to be lowered octane in 92-93 tanks at lesser used stations . I was told by one other person they had noticed as the prices climbed again that their MPGs had dropped . I tried the 89 octane in my 2.8 and actually got a 1/2 mpg increase . So I went to a station nearer a heavy traffic intersection to get my next gas (94 octane) and have seen my mileage increase again. Some stations aren't selling enough of the high octane fuel and its degrading in the ground. I'm considering calling the state or county agency about testing it at the station where I was getting the crap fuel.

Default MOST cars go>100k on regular slop w/o FI cleaner. 2-Cycle oil has gas additives in it

and extra stabilizers like better gas does. I really can't imagine NOT using it for the $.02c a gallon it costs at 500:1.

Another good gas additive is "Fuel Power", by the gallon at Bob's. Bottom line is: Winter Gas sucks and winter driving sucks gas.

At the pump, 89 does seem like the way to go. I'm prefering BP in my market.

Default Techron, v-Power and Gumout Regane are good. Gas additives, anything is fine, but not oil additives

I def don't like BG oil additives. Any gas additves is fine, but if any one or all are cost/effective, I can't say. A good car needs maybe once a year, a used car, of course, but only in exceptional circumstance will you get $8 worth of fuel savings to break even. Know what I mean? That's what I like about 2C oil, I know it is cost/effective.
