Default Anyone relocated their cat under the car after the downpipe?

This is pretty much the only thing holding me back from getting my car legitimately inspected. And I hate the way my car smells. And my back bumper getting all nasty with soot.

Wondering if it won't work properly being so far down steam? Maybe it wont heat up right?

Anyone running it...thoughts..suggestions..pics?

Default Hmmmm

You can run a universal cat, but I dunno how it will work with the PCM. You may still get codes without foulers.

Because it will take longer to heat up the PCM may not see the cross counts in wants as soon as it wants.

Default Thats what I was worried about...I'm considering trying one of these:

Makes sense in theorey how it works, I tried the diode mod but it just stayed right at .045 v and the car didn't like that. This guy is supposed to constantly change it based on the precat o2 sensor...hmm..<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PreCat-Snooping-O2-Oxygen-Sensor-Simulator-For-OBD-II_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ46097QQihZ012QQitemZ 220052849366QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PreCat-Snooping-O2-Oxygen-Sensor-

Default I have no cat on my car.

Two foulers, no light.

I suppose you could relocate the cat and run the two foulers in the stock location, with both pre and post in front of the cat.

Default I've been trying to get the OBD-II on my car ready to pass inspection...

After about a week it still doesn't run the tests and I get a "intermittent electrical malfunction" code in the seconday o2 sensor. Instead of buying another O2 sensor since I'm going to be using non foulers anyways, figured that may be worth a shot.

Default I think its a win.

do they visually inspect for a cat? or are you doing this to improve your carbon count?

Im glad Ohio dropped Echeck
