Anyone removed the upper door moldings (door protectors)??

Default Anyone removed the upper door moldings (door protectors)??
I was just wondering for those that have removed the upper door moldings, are their any tips or things I should know before doing it? Any hidden screws or tabs? Since they have to repaint both doors I figure what the heck, might as well shave the lower and upper moldings.

Default no special trick to remove them there are guideholes behind them that'll need to be filled if...
... you decide to shave them entirely

Default just double sided tape on the fender part
not sure about the door section. and yes there are holes need to be filled in.

Default They will be shaved entirely...i know about the guideholes but that is kinda where my question is...
since there are guideholes which way do I have to slide the moldings to get them off?

no need to slide them, they are stuck on there with doublesided tape, just rip them off
