Default Anyone replace AC fan bearing?

My AC fan has been squealing for a while (I wasn't sure exactly what the noise was). Now it has degraded to the point that the fan is grinding and visibly wobbling. I'm wondering if I can simply replace the fan bearings since the dealer is getting $367 for the fan! I found some old posts re. an older Audi but nothing directly applicable.

Default

Are you talking about the smaller electric fan or the larger belt driven fan?

Default The smaller electric fan.

Sorry for lack of detail.

Default I imagine you could get that fan much cheaper from a place like this and DIY.

If you were talking about the larger fan I was going to recommend an Electric Fan kit.

I would change it as soon as possible, though. It can wreck stuff if it breaks and flys apart.

http://www.alloemaudiparts.com</a
