I saw that and posted my questions. I was just wondering if any AW members tried them.

Default I can see these things working on a BT, but K03's and K04's spool so quickly that MBC's become an

on/off switch for the turbo. Partial throttle sucks, or at least it did for me. I'm trying to understand just what is the difference between a boost machine and a MBC.

Default I ran one with my Ko4 as well...worked great! (more)

The boost machine runs inline with your N75 valve. It in essence works as a "variable" N75 valve. It can control the onset of boost as well as max boost...within reason. It also works to "smooth" the signal going to the N75 wich help to smooth things out for the turbo.

Default Not really a boost machine but I think it works similar...

I was using this before installing the pc16 file. Just havent hooked it back up yet. N75 worked until 3/4 throttle (or where ever you set it at) then the boost controller kickes in. You can adjust where you want the boost controller to activate (according to throttle position). I dont see it in the pic but there was also a small box with a potentiometer to adjust the desired throttle position for the boost controller activation.

The switch is to completly bypass the N75 and run boost controller only. I didnt hook that up though.

I used the basic boost controller from the same site.

http://www.3barracing.com/product_2.htm</a

Default If it works like an N75 valve, why do you keep the N75 valve in line with it?

My MBC was terrible, but I understand why. I believe I understand the thought behind the boost machine. It's nothing more than a pressure regulator (MBC) with a flow control to smooth things out. As such, what is the N75 doing in this setup? Or do I have this wrong?
