Default you shouldn't run a k04 without a chip tuned for the turbo. The turbo has a different spooling

behavior than the stock k03 and will cause issues.

spdrcrpete is running a k04 with apr k03 software. The car doesnt pull any harder than my chipped k03 but everything seems to run fine.

He has a 97(with apr software) and i have a 2000(giac software). When we were both chipped k03's he said that I was a tiny bit faster and now with the k04 I am still a bit faster. Once he gets the right software he will easily walk away from me.

No new mods. Trying to recover from a nice run in with a deer(if i only had those sweet stoptechs like you). Besides that just a little a-pillar pod and vdo boost gauge. Im taking off my fliks on saturday so I gotta get those lug nuts back to you. Do you know if there will be any meets in Engelwood sometime soon? If not I will meet you at one of the central jersey meets. You still going big turbo or are you really "done modding"?

Default I'm pretty sure there will be a meet in north jersey soon...

Angry Alex!! You reading this?! =)

I'm done modding for now...I want to buy a few other things first before I spend more $$ on the car.

The key word is "for now" hehe. What about you? Still got plans for big turbo?

I wanna get small things straightened out first along with a nice suspension and set of big brakes. I also want to do some drivers events that way I can learn my car a little better. I feel that my extra cash should go to these things first. I will probably have a new turbo in by late spring/early summer.
