Anyone running K04 with out use K04 chip? No gain? Just more reliable?

I've used MTM stage 1 & 2 chips both with a K04 and have had no problems or codes.
Not sure I'm getting all I can out of it, but there certainly have been no problems with it. Hoppen knows about it and is fine with me running the K04 with their stage two software.
