Anyone tell me why SIII has a longer install then the PES T-28 kit?

Don't underestimate how hard it is to take off and re-install the oil and coolant lines on the block and then put them back on the GT-25 turbo after it has been shoehorned in connected to the manifold and cat.
And, in case you missed the line above, the manifold, turbo, and cat must all be assembled and then installed with the APR kit. It's a PITA to remove then reinstall the cat.

gen 1 cat for the newer with the kit in the car. It requires bending a cheap wrench or two but it can be done. Access to the cat to turbo bolts on the current configuration is far simpler. Having said that, I would still opt to install the manifold/turbo/cat as an assembly on a fresh install ... far easier to bolt everything up on the workbench than in the car IMO.

PES kit:
Manifold nuts are just as hard if not harder to get to than the APR one.
Bumper and front end doesn't have to slide off
Oil feed line doesn't need to be changed(biggest time saver)
If you don't have to change the cat you save some time here too.
APR kit.
Bumper has to come off, in order to slide the turbo/manifold/cat in.
Oil feed line takes a long time to change
cat has to be changed.

(If it is a 1 man install .. if 2 man one can pull the engine over while the other slides the assembly into position in the bay and up onto the studs). That will gain you at least an inch of clearence and not only will the newer cat kits slide right in .. so will the older style .. just did this to pull my old style cat/turbo/manifold system for the actuator update.
