Default anyone think the new 190HP 1.8T is no different from the current 1.8T?

I have a feeling Audi underrated that motor because of the 2.8 190HP that was still in production.

Now that it's gone, they can release it's REAL power specs cause it won't infringe on the 3.0.

Thoughts?

Default

Probably not much different than the current 1.8T and probably still on the conservative side.

Default I've driven my dad's 01.5 1.8T many times and in comparison to mine...

it's very similar. The only difference is low end tourque. Once it gets going they're pretty comparable.

The 1.8T is louder though. Mine goes about it's business without alot of engine noise.

Default When can i order mine? and more Question?

You can order it in the UK next month, but when in the US? I like to wheelz too. Think those are coming to the US? How will the increase bhp affect chipping the new engine? Will it be 190 + 46 or more like 190 + 26?

Default I would say that the engine has been changed....

...an additional intercooler is "different" if you ask me, and I'm sure they changed the programming etc.

Having said that, I'm sure the bottom end and internals are all the same.

Default Yes I'd say it's different slightly, twin intercooler can only be good..and I'm sure the Turbo maybe

now is actuall a full K04 unit, I bet it will be...just like the 225TT...

But wow, 6 speed that will be cool...
