When I got the trim and tried to "hold" it in place, just to get an idea of what it would look like. This is just my opinion, but the trim was too thick, and you could see the aluminum trim behind it (mine is blue) barely. The trim piece around the stereo was the same material (thick) and the fog light buttons and stereo faceplate etc. were sunken when compared to the wood trim. I don't intend to sound harsh, but the trim was definitely not good enough for me. I guess it isn't possible to lay new material over the old and have it look exactly like the 2.8. By the way, if you want to buy the wood pieces which are available on the 2.8, be ready to spend over $1000 before installation. I checked into it, and needless to say, I still have the aluminum. I never actually "installed" the trim, because the guy at JT wouldn't take it back if I peeled the backing off, so maybe others can comment.
