Sounds a little narrow, wouldn't you rather use 225/45/17, more common size.

Default A4s with the sport package come with 225/45/17
I like them a lot. The ride is not too harsh and gives a more sure footed driving feel.

c'mon, man...go with the 225s! it "looks right" on the 7.5" wide wheel.

I use 235/40/17 with no problems
