Default Yup. A bad BPV will make a honking noise as the boost comes on.

I managed to rip the diaphragm on my TT BPV before switching to a metal BPV.

Default same, honking, fluttering, fart sound starting around 2400 RPM.

I don't have a boost gauge yet, so I have no idea what my boost was.

Default Since we're on the topic of BPV's, could a sticking valve..

cause the car to go into safe boost mode? Every once in a while in 5th gear when I accelerate, the boost will shut off (go into safe boost mode). I have to reset my ecu back to stock mode, and then back to chipped before the boost comes back. It has only happened about 3 or 4 times in the past 4 months. I have an old Forge valve, and I've never serviced it. Why? Because I am possibly the most mechanicaly un-inclined person on this forum. Anyways, just wondering if this could be the culprit.
