My wiper fluid "alert" on the trip computer, although quite slick, began to get very annoying. So, I dump at least 2/3 of a gallon of wiper fluid (all I had) into the reservoir, and I can't even tell I filled it at all. I'm thinking..."huge reservoir". Cool. So the next day, I get another jug and empty the WHOLE thing in there. At this point I'm realizing something else is at play. I stoop down and look under the car, and a small trickle of fluid is pouring onto the ground. How in the world could a crack or whole form in the container? Heat related? Anyone else have to have this replaced?
Thanks,

Mine was leaking from the pump on the second reservoir, that feeds the headlight washers. See the link for a good response I got from Christian (2/10/99).

This very thing happened to me and I ended up fixing it myself. I poured a gallon of very expensive washer fluid in the reservoir and came out the next morning and the damn reservoir was empty again. So I went and grabbed the garden hose and started filling the reservoir up again. This time I see the water running out underneath the car just as fast as I am filling it up.
What happens is when you run the high pressure pump for the headlights, the pump will actually push itself up out of the housing. All you have to do is reach down along the front side of the washer reservoir and push the pump back down into its housing. Mine has worked great ever since. If you need more specifics feel free to email me offline.
