weights.
I'm still on the fence if I should buy new calipers (still waiting on pricing) and put the kit back onto the car, buy the calipers and sell them as a complete kit with brand new calipers (obviously), or just sell off my fubar'd calipers to see if anyone has the ability to mill the problem areas and repair them, rebuilds, hats/rotors, numerous sets of street and track pads, carriers, SS lines, hardware to someone who wants to build their own BBK...maybe find used Porsche calipers and change out the pistons if the paper weights can't truly be repaired even with lots of labor time, which is the cost issue here versus new calipers. If one of the latter two options, then get Alcons. Needless to say, I was hoping for better news of paying for someone spending a couple of labor hours with them and getting back fresh calipers with my rebuild kits that I have for them. but, that didn't happen.
Apparently, before even getting to the abutment plates, they couldn't halve the calipers due on one caliper, one threaded insert is completely blown out and they're doubtful even the oversize insert will retain properly and a cross-over brake line tube won't come out on the other caliper.
short version of the issue (and still no word on why this happened):<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/midatlantic/msgs/252064.phtml">my StopTech pad rubbing issue</a></li></ul>

Less contact area on the rotors and less effectiveness overall given the Stoptechs were designed for the A4 application.
I have now exhausted my vast knowledge base on Stoptech vs Boxster brakes.
Enjoy your day.
