Default Or step up to some 996 Calipers...OEM Porsche Brembos are hard to beat.

Either 996 calipers or Alcons are going on the S4 when I get it.

agreed. there was no Alcon application, and Brembos weren't supplied by many and $$$$ compared to ST

Default ****So, what would a set of Stoptechs be worth that are brand new calipers and good hats/rotors with

a bunch of pads?

Street: Pagid Blacks 4-2-1 that are 50-60% left and have 3+ sets of well used Axxis Ultimates that could be mixed for some use. I think I threw the Mintex Red Box pads in teh trash.

Track: Pagid Orange RS 4-4 that are 50% and Hawk HT10 that are at 60-70% for 3 of them and then 3 that are at 30-40% to rotate for a full set of pads. I cracked one and find another set from a guy who also cracked one and now I have 6 pads; 3 to rotate with the thincker ones. so, toss one in per event and watch it, toss in the next, repeat.

I also have a full piston, seal, boot repair kit that is a $400 value. I may be able to re-shelve these or obviously would sell separately as a kit away from the BBK. $350 would apply here.

Basically, this a new set of Gen2 forged (not cast as Gen1 like my old ones) Stoptechs with better than half left rotors with the updated hats. You can pick your color of caliper, but I'd go with black if you don't want it to fade over the years or with track use.

$350 is not the right answer.

Default Did you consider...

A shopping list something like this

1 pair custom brackets
1 996.352.425 caliper
1 996.352.426 caliper
1 set track pads for 996 calipers
1 DBA 5575BLKSL 320x30mm two piece rotor
1 DBA 5575BLKSR 320x30mm two piece rotor

Pads and rotors are easily sourced through a vendor like raceshopper.com, calipers can be had new or used. Pistons are 36mm & 40mm on the 996 caliper, I'm not sure how that compares to the ST-40 for the B5 A4.

Quick Reply: It appears that StopTech said "uncle" and will be unable to repair my calipers. they are now paper
