I know how a turbo works, i'm asking what he meant by "boost is boost", implying that .8 and 1 bar doesn't make any difference.

Default What I mean is any .8 or any 1.0 chip from any vendor will product about the same boost.

How do you figure? Because .8 and 1.0 bar refer to how much pressure or boost each can develop. .8 and 1.0 are clearly not the same.

Default (oh brother) A .8 from ABC company will provide the same boots as a .8 from XYZ company.

so you're saying that every chip is the same? if not then i still don't understand the point of saying "boost is boost". I know for sure that you can't say "chips are chips".

Default They are different in terms of where, when, and for how long the boost is applied..

..as well as how they do the fuel and timing, and other things, all of which affects driveability.<p>Still .8 bar is .8 bar, regardless of how it's used.<p>Paul<br>'98.5 A4 1.8TQTipS in Pearl

Default Where did you get an Autothority dyno graph?

I have never seen one on their website. I guess I could have called and asked them. Nonetheless my decision has already been made (APR). I just have to decide how I'm going to handle the warranty problem...<p>As I mentioned earlier, I would prefer to be honest, but I also don't want to give Audi an opportunity to be dishonest (in blaming an unrelated failure on my chip). Not an easy decision.<p>Paul<br>'98.5 A4 1.8TQTipS in Pearl
