with APR chip boost seems to be spiking right when turbo kicks on...
what could this be? I have the 91 octane chip and a apr exhaust and a turbo XS type H... could it be boost leak from the bpv? or could it be the apr chip? or could it be I need a manual boost controller on top of the chip? help... also, is this bad for my engine?

ussually a leak, bad bpv, wastegate probs. . . low boost just makes it run more rich (rich is good altho, it will slow it down

if you have a bov, how can you have a bpv?
when i had a leak,but might have a differnt leaking problem, i wouldt boost as high. so, im thinking your running rich with the bov or something is stuck.
if you had on a bpv, the bpv could be getting stuck, or your vag line is leaking.
so it could be any of these.

Most K03 chips have a slight boost spike when you first go wot
it will even be a little higher under a load. It will spike high then settle back down and hold till around 5K rpms where it will start to drop in boost. K03 cant hold 1.1+ bar to redline.

Re: BPV is always closed during WOT and it does not control the boost
what should i do to check the wastegate? also what are some nice aftermarket wastegates that can handel extra boost?
