Default mine will spike to 20 psi as well, but I generally see around 17-18 under full boost.

mine is very smooth and I haven't had any drivability problems either. I also have the AWE boost gauge and love it!

Default it wont get full boost well above 2.5k

if i down shift it wont spool sometimes even when it lands above 4k.

Default Yes you can. Pull the power lead from the battery for 10-15 mins.

You'll need your Bose Radio code ... before doing this .. .and when you reconnect it turn the key on .. no start and don't touch the gas pedal. You'll hear the throttle body whir and click as is runs thru it's adaption. Wait a couple of mins and then start the car.
It is also possible you have a weak bypass valve and the added boost is blowing it open.
