Default Sorry you felt that way.....

You were asking me technical details which I could only act only as a go between you and Brett. Brett did n't want to hear it, so all I could do is pester and pass on the response. Please don't take it personally, as I didn't have the knowledge base to try and help you directly....

Default Not to worry Ed, I didn't..

It's all good. I know you were doing your best to try to help.

And I put off airing this in public for as long as I could. I like APR and really do not feel comfortable giving them negative press (God knows they get enough here that is unjustified as it is). But I think APR, as good a job as they do, still has some customer service issues they need to address. I can understand a manufacturer not wanting to hear about a seemingly isolated problem that nobody else is complaining about, especially if you are confident in your product. But as this may prove, sometimes it is not an isolated problem. In this case, I noticed because I had already become accustomed to the way the chip SHOULD perform. New customers do not have that reference, so they would have no way of knowing that something is wrong.

Default I had my 2001.5 APR chipped car ping for the first time ever last week

Although I'm in California w/ 91 octane. It occured @ ~5500 rpm under WOT. Crazy sound...

I'm not sure if I have any leaks yet though...I still need to get a boost guage.

And to my knowlege APR hasn't released 91 octane specific software for the 2001s yet

Default I wonder if APR will ever see this..

Meaning my original post, above. Not that I'm anxious to dig myself a grave (I would still like to do business with APR without being on their sh*t list). Brett has indicated to me in the past that if they are falling short in any area that he would like to know.

Thing is, nothing I posted here should come as a surprise to APR, or to Brett. All of the things I posted about in this thread were expressed to an APR employee offline at some point WELL before I ever said anything in public. If anyone at APR thinks I have stabbed them in the back, then you guys are not communicating. I think I was entirely fair. If not, hopefully someone from APR will post a rebuttal. Consumers should not be immune from scrutiny, either.
