apr front mount
anyone think that this is kinda strange its totally different then any fmic i have seen, after it goes through the intercooler it still has to travel to the other side of the car doesnt make much sense to me seems like to much pipe... anyone want to put there 2 cents in???

http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/intercooler_fmic.html</a

it looks as....
the air comes in from the the whole top of the intercooler and it exits through the whole bottum of the intercooler or vice versa. Instead of the air going from one side to the other it goes from top to bottom.

The proper way to make an intercooler is to have a core area with more
internal passageways, not by having the same number of passages longer. Looks like a good design to me. Racetec has a design similar to APR's, search for racetec on this board. There are a few reviews.

Re: does seem to increase the lenth of the intake tract...
Which is pretty much all im saying.. im not doubting that it works or is inefficient I just think that you increase the intake tract meaning you need to build boost across more pipe that means more lag... thats all
