Is APR just like BMW's DINAN, but for Audi not BMW?

You can order anything in the Dinan catalog from your local BMW dealer, and as long as they install it, your factory warranty remains intact. Much like SVO/SVT parts from Ford or TRD from Toyota.
It would be interesting to see a relationship like that between Audi and an outside tuning firm. The question is: would you be more inclined to buy parts from them if they were more expensive, but didn't void your factory warranty?

Example: I install performance part "X" in my A4. X causes stock part "Y" to break, where it wouldn't have if "X" had not been there. Therefore, Audi of America will not pay for replacement of Y.
In this case, would the dealer pick up the tab, or would APR? The money for warranty replacement has to come from somewhere, so if it's not coming from Audi, then from where?
I only ask because I'm curious.

Back when I had a Toyota Tacoma, I wanted to get the TRD supercharger. I was willing to pay the extra installation cost to have Toyota install it, since it added the supercharger onto the vehicle's warranty when they did it for you.
However, even if you installed it yourself, Toyota still gave you a one year warranty on the supercharger, and it didn't affect your vehicle's warranty. Nice folks.![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
