Apr one bar chip, has anyone put the new 3.0 chip in a 1.8 automatic (no tip)?

Where are you where they have automatics that aren't tip?

Tip wasn't available until 98, prior a4's had automatics

My bad. So, are the gear ratios different? Was the pre-tiptronic tranny a 4 or 5 speed auto?

I own a 97 1.8T, they offered a plain ol automatic at that time.
