When curtis was playing with Chris (who was driving my avant) he wasnt totaling him like he should have been.
He also might have been going easy on me.
And I know I at least was still a tad drunk from the night before.

From what I've heard from APR:
* approx $5300
* GT28RS turbo
* comes w/ new Carbonio intake
* bigger injectors than Stage3.
* 330-340hp

and its insane, it just dosent explode with torque at 2800-3000 and then start dropping 2000 rpm later. Its smooth and powerfull...VERY POWERFULL 430+ hp
Ive also driven 2000 A4 2.8 quattro with the PES S/C (stone diggs2.8 s car) and it dosent "feel" extremely fast, its smooth and quiet (stock exhaust) but then you look at the speedo moving quite quickly.
Curshs car is like mine, it makes good torque very early, and its loud...so basicaly i gives the illusion of being "fast" its not.

I've own a PES T-28 (not GT-28 which makes me wonder) and have driven APR Stage III cars.
Both are plenty fast but the characteristics are different. The PES kit has more lag but hits harder. It's got more of that traditional turbo punch. The APR kit seems more refined and very linear. It's sneaky fast.
Both put down the expected power but I feel the PES kit puts down more power at the high end because of the more aggressive programming.
The PES kit also gives you a nice variety of "whooooshes and pfffffttttss" sounds. ;-)
You really can't go wrong either way. It just depends on what you want out of your car.
