I know that they say you dont need to rebuild the internals on the B5 motor when putting the 280hp APR turbo on but what is the truth? Can our block really hold that amount of power? Would i use the TT internals or what company is reliable on engine rebuilds? I am really interested in this because speed is everything... thanks

At least I haven't heard of any Stage III owners that have destroyed their engine block with the kit on this forum (and I've been around a while).

thats what i have heard from other people too but it just doesnt make that much sense. what about the top end? the lash adjusters, the piston rings, the valve springs? what about those? Thanks

you are not talking a turbo and sticking it on a NA engine. The only thing you have to worry about is your clutch. The engine will hang just fine, don't worry about it.

Very solid performance. Easy daily driver. I enjoy my car.
The non-DBW cars are rockets as well. I've seen guys trap nearly 107 on the race program with that setup.
DBW cars aren't as fast, but still respectable. Hopefully they'll be getting a bit faster soon.
