I rotated my tires today in the garage.
I knew those Audi jacks were a problem the first time i changed my tires. the jack was wobbling side to side and i was afraid it was gonna fall.
well today, that sucked fell twice!! i had to reposition the jack many many times and it still leaned. I have NO idea why, the groud was level, and it only happened on the front end of the car. luckily my tires were still on both times it fell. i was hoppin mad literally hah....i know might get flames about how it might've not been positioned properly etc, but I am positive it was. Anyone else have problems with that darned jack? If you're ever needing to change a tire on any degree of incline/decline, all I can say is good luck

...you should invest in a good quality hydrualic jack. The one that came with Audi are only for emergency use (ie changing a flat in nowheresville).
No flames. Just a suggestion. Glad to hear that it didn't fall while the tires were off the car.

it's ONLY meant for lifting one corner at at time for changing a tire. That's why they can put a smaller/lighter jack in ther rather than some huge heavy 60 pound steel one in there. If you do that kind of work at home, you need to buy a real jack......any jack like Audi's is not meant for serious duty.

Somebody here found that their nice hydraulic jack had actually dropped enough when he wasn't looking. The wheels partially installed, so when the jack dropped, it put enough pressure on the partially installed wheel to screw up the hub. I think his repair bill was a couple hundred bucks.
So, for your own safety, and the safety of your car, spend a few bucks and use the right tools for the job.
Good Luck.
