ASR?

ASR?
My 97 A4 doesn't have an ASR indicator on the dash. Normally they're next to the passenger seat heater activation roller. The manual says "not available at time of printing" when talking about ASR. Does that mean I don't have ASR or I don't have the indicator but to have ASR.

ASR is for FWD models only

Maybe '97's didn't have ASR. The button is not the indicator, its the ON/OFF switch for the ASR

No need to worry...it isn't very effective...
I'm not taking time go pull out the manual and refresh my memory, but the traction control system on the 1.8T FWD is not as elaborate as on the 2.8 FWD. If ASR is the "system" on the 1.8T FWD, than this is what I have, and I've never known it to activate EVER! However, maybe its SO GOOD that you aren't even aware when it kicks in!
Oh well, if I was so hung up about traction under adverse conditions, I would've purchased quattro.
