So I read the A4/A6 how-to's and they say change the fluid a few times after runing it inbetween because you can't get all the fluid out of the torque converter. I also read the how-to for the A8 and it mentioned letting it drain overnight. Will draining overnight get almost all of the fluid out of the torque converter? Or will I still need to drive it and then change the fluid again. I don't like the idea of mixing old fluid with new fluid, but if that is the only way, I guess i'll have to live with it.

I think I'll wait to see what the fluid looks like when I drop the pan. If it is real dirty, I may chance letting it drain fully to get the dirty stuff out. Otherwise I'll just fill then redrain.

Just courious if you know how much more ATF drained over night? Was it worth to do it?
How much fluid did you ended up using for refilling.
I am planing to do next weekend.
thanks
